Do you have a passion for life? Without passion, life can become dull and grey. So, what’s the secret to a life that’s full and glorious in all its technicolour? I believe the secret’s in the detail.

This is what mindfulness is all about- being passionate about life; living each moment and being tremendously interested in it. In this way we can appreciate the details that we often miss. Being fully present in each moment allows us to ‘colour in’ the experience instead of a grey life passing us by. It gives us the opportunity to tune in to our bodies and fully know ourselves. So, here are five simple things you can do today to help you journey towards a rich and vibrant life.

  1. Take a moment to notice your breath.
  2. Really listen to someone when they speak to you.
  3. Pay attention to what you’re eating: notice the taste and texture; take time to chew.
  4. Watch the sky.
  5. Look at your own face in the mirror as if seeing it for the first time.
